Dear Pack 1022 Member,

Welcome back! We hope your summer vacation was wonderful! We are gearing up for another terrific and fun year of Cub Scouts! Our first Pack Meeting will be held at the Conant Gym, Thursday, September 26th starting at 7:00pm sharp. There will be a brief meeting for all pack parents and it will be helpful if you bring your calendar and checkbook to pay for the registration fees. The pack registration fees are the same as last year - $100.00 for the 1^st scout, $75.00 for additional scouts in the same family and Webelos 2 (5^th graders) are $60.00. You will also fill out the usual forms for our records that are required by BSA (health forms) and a Pack information sheet.

If you have a new scout in your family or know of a friend who would like to join our Pack, please attend our Rally Night on Thursday September 5^th in the Fine Arts Wing starting at 7:00pm. This is only for new scouts.

We have a couple of upcoming events that we want to make you aware of, so you can “save the date”:

Thurs. September 5^th – Fall Roundup, Fine Arts Wing – 7:00pm (New Scouts Only)
Tue. September 10^th – Parent Pack Committee Mtg – The Carter House 7:30pm
Saturday, September 28^th – Bike Rodeo at Federal Mogul (noon-3pm)
Friday-Sunday, October 18-22 – Fall Campout at D-A Ranch (details to follow)
(It’s the famous Trail of Terror Weekend – ooohh – scary!)
Saturday, October 5^th – “Veggie Regatta” - Conant playground at 5:00pm
Scouts & siblings can bring their homemade boat made from any type of veggies to race on the raingutters. Just adding a different twist from the regular regatta. Details to follow
Saturday, November 30^th – Sunday December 1^st – spend the night on a real WW2 Submarine – “USS Silversides” at the Great Lakes Naval Museum in Muskegon . Open to all family members – this will be an unforgettable experience. We need your RSVP by the 1^st pack meeting!!! Cost will be about $25.00 per person. More details to follow! New Wolf Scouts will be receiving a Pack 1022 shoulder patch, which will go on your new blue uniform shirt. Please consult your handbook/flyer you received at the May Pack meeting, which explains the parts of the uniform needed. If you have any questions, please call any of the leaders below. If you need a 1022 patch, please let us know and we will get you one.

Please note that in order for the pack to be successful, we need parents to help volunteer to make our organization run smoothly. Many hands make light work, and we expect each parent to do their share. We cordially invite all parents to attend our Pack Committee meeting, held monthly to help plan and organize the Pack program and finances.
